As we all know, Google now puts major emphasis on ‘content’ and ‘social signals’ such as retweets, likes, shares and the Google Plus platforms +1’s. When people research new products and services, they increasingly turn to their social networks for ideas, suggestions and recommendations. The more people that ‘like’ your content, the more they share it. The more they share the content, the higher your website will rank and the more traffic you will have. This all then leads to more engagement with all of your target audiences online as well as new sales opportunities.

So, creating quality, engaging content people will share is at the heart of any good digital marketing strategy. The challenge now is to create quality content that is cost effective and easy to produce. Here at Westgate we are always creating a diverse range of content from blog posts, video, white papers, reports, infographics, photography, podcasts etc. We have just recently created a recruitment video to highlight the benefits of CIMA (Charted Institute of Management Accountants). It's a very simple idea where one of our design team draws out all the key benefits using charm and wit to engage a young and vibrant audience, take a look, it really is fun!
