How to get your content shared

Quality Content

We are all striving to have our content shared as much as possible. When our content is shared and liked, we can potentially benefit from a higher profile, being seen as a thought leader and being able to engage with brand new prospects with increased traffic to your website.

Here are some tips on how to develop quality content that will encourage people to share your content and ultimately engage in conversation with you.

Know your audience
Before you start developing content, you need a clear understanding of your audience and their needs, this understanding will ensure you are giving them what they really want. It means you will be creating the right content, in the right format, using the right channels and platforms at the right time. By having an intimate knowledge of your audience you will be able to talk to them through your bespoke content.

Create content that resonates with your audience
When developing content think about relevant topics that will interest your audience, be thought provoking and provide genuinely useful information your audience will value. Then write engaging headlines to attract attention and invite your audience to explore further.

Develop unique content that has a personality
Once you have determined what your audience needs, it’s important to ensure they engage with your content. The best way to get the most from your content is to develop a theme that has personality, is unique and importantly engages with you audience on an emotional level.

Produce dynamic topical content
Your audience will always identify with content that is topical, reflects a calendar event or a news item. This is a tried and tested tactic and is very effective.

Sharing your content in the most effective way.
Great content does not share itself, it requires strong networks and channels of distribution. By building strong, relevant communities that have an audience and serving that audience with quality information will start a chain reaction of sharing with you as the catalyst.
